Today, gua sha is often presented primarily as a facial beauty technique, with a focus on sculpting, lymphatic drainage, and following the correct directions. But within Chinese medicine, gua sha has a much broader history and therapeutic application.
As a Chinese medicine practitioner and founder of Gua Sha Online School, I want to share a different perspective: one that explores gua sha within the traditional framework of Qi, blood, and the body's patterns of health.
This introductory workshop is an opportunity to discover the roots of the practice, experience a gentle facial gua sha sequence, and learn how facial practice can become an entry point into a much deeper understanding of Chinese medicine.
Whether you are completely new to gua sha, already practising facial gua sha, or a practitioner curious about its traditional context, you are warmly welcome.

About Gua Sha Online School
For many years, I have taught Gua Sha Online School to Swedish students. In January, I am opening the program to an international audience after receiving requests from people around the world.
The program is divided into two levels, allowing students to develop their understanding step by step. In Level 2, we explore facial mapping and facial observation in greater depth.
